Family Medicine Physician to Join West Holt Medical Services
ATKINSON — West Holt Medical Services is pleased to announce the addition of Samantha L. Sholes, M.D. to their Primary Care Clinic team.
Dr. Sholes is a 2009 graduate of Elkhorn High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with High Distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2013, and her medical degree with honors from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in 2017.
For the past four years, Dr. Sholes has been training in both family and internal medicine at the UNMC’s Primary Care Residency Program.
Dr. Sholes will be board certified in family medicine. Her clinical interests include healthcare maintenance, chronic disease management, and hospital medicine. She enjoys reading, cooking, long walks, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Sholes’ husband Michael is an attorney and is originally from O’Neill, Nebraska. He is a 2009 graduate of Ainsworth High School and still has family in Brown and Holt counties. The couple has a one-year-old son named Jack.
Dr. Sholes will begin her career at West Holt Medical Services this Fall and looks forward to providing care for patients in Atkinson and the surrounding communities.
